ONN Webinar- Ontario’s Vendor of Record program: Buying, potential savings and streamlining for nonprofits

What: Vendor of Record
Date: Wed. April 30
Time: 12pm- 1pm
Cost: $30 for ONN members/ $60 for nonmembers

Nonprofits buy goods and services to help them get their community building work done. Organizations that receive provincial funds can access the Ontario government’s Vendor of Record program to buy goods and services and leverage their purchasing power.

It’s a brand new opportunity and ONN wants to help nonprofits learn more about the program, how organizations can access it and how it can open the door to potential savings, streamlined administration and a pre-qualified list of vendors.

This is an Open for Business win which ONN facilitated with the Ministry of Government Services to ensure nonprofit organizations could be part of the government’s efforts to increase efficiencies and maximize the impact of resources for public benefit.

The one-hour webinar will provide:

- An overview of the program
- How to sign up and access the vendor of record list
- Examples of vendor of records, including for goods and services that nonprofits often need like office supplies, IT services, cell phone packages, and more
- Sample vendor contracts to get you started

The only prerequisite to join the program:

Your organization should receive funding from an Ontario government Ministry, regardless of the amount. Ministries have recently sent letters to all eligible organizations. If you’re funded by a Ministry and haven’t received a letter, register online at http://www.doingbusiness.mgs.gov.on.ca to see if you’re eligible.
