Elizabeth Mulholland is the CEO of Prosper Canada, a national charity dedicated to expanding economic opportunity for Canadians living in poverty through program and policy innovation. As Canada’s leading champion of financial empowerment, Prosper Canada works with government, business and community partners to develop and promote financial policies, programs and resources that transform lives and foster the prosperity of all Canadians. The webinar series

Nonprofits Driving Public Policy is a five-part webinar series, co-presented by ONN and Maytree, to build the capacity of nonprofit staff and volunteers to:

  • Strengthen your organization’s public policy strategy
  • Deepen community engagement
  • Collaborate on key issues
  • Sharpen communications for maximum impact
  • Build momentum and movements before, during and after elections

The five webinars in the series:

  • Seizing the electoral moment: why it matters to all nonprofits
  • What is public policy and does your nonprofit need a strategy?
  • Engaging the community to shape your organization’s priorities and decisions
  • So you’ve got 30 minutes with the Minister. Now what?
  • Strengthening your public policy strategy through collaboration

Series Co-Presented with Maytree

We've partnered with Maytree and its Policy School and CivicsXchange programs in Toronto to connect nonprofits to experts and resources for more effective public policy. Our aim is to provide accessible, action-oriented resources to strengthen the sector’s role in creating, influencing and implementing better public policy for thriving communities.
