You face a lot of risks running your nonprofit and on the road of life. It's important to protect the people and things that matter most. Insurance can be complex but ONN's Nonprofit Insurance partners at HUB International are here to explain it all and advise you on the coverage that best fits your needs, making it easy for you to secure complete protection.

Date: Wednesday, August 16, 2017

Time: 12-1PM
Cost: FREE
Presenters: Carolyn Marczynski and Steve Primiani of HUB International, partners on the ONN Nonprofit Insurance Program

During this one-hour webinar, you will learn:

  • What are the risks facing nonprofits, particularly those that engage volunteers

  • What insurance solutions and tools are available to mitigate those risks

  • What are some common types of claims against nonprofit organizations

  • How a standard Home and Auto policy isn’t always enough

  • The importance of Excess Liability Insurance (Personal Umbrella Insurance)

  • Group Home and Auto Insurance - how nonprofit employees can save

Directors’ and Officers’ Liability Insurance:

Nonprofits have unique risk exposures and they are not immune from potential claims from employees, board members, or volunteers relating to:

  • Employment Practices (i.e. wrongful dismissal, employee discrimination)

  • Fiduciary Liability (i.e. administration of an employee benefits plan)

  • Financial Mismanagement (i.e. board decisions that have adverse financial consequences)

In order to manage risk effectively, it’s important to have the right insurance and tools in place to protect board members and employees.

Personal Home & Auto Insurance:

One lawsuit can change everything. What would happen if someone was injured on your property, or as a result of a car accident for which you were held responsible? Standard homeowner’s insurance and auto insurance policies provide only minimal liability coverage.  If you were sued and found liable for a settlement or judgment in excess of what your insurance covers, how would you pay?

Whether you’re an employer looking to get coverage for your board or an employee hoping to lower your personal insurance rates, join us for this free webinar to make sure you’re fully covered.
