ONN Purchasing Program: The Supplier Selection Process

How it works, why it works for us and exciting program updates

The ONN Purchasing Program (ONNPP) launched last year with the release of a series of webinars, whitepapers and other research into areas such as understanding total cost of purchases, managing supplier partnerships and the importance of well-managed purchasing activities. The program also includes access to procurement expertise (onnpp@rtps.ca) to provide advice, answer questions or assist with purchasing projects.

The collective purchasing power of our network is significant and can be leveraged to create benefits for our sector, including reduced costs as well as improved quality, service and risk management.

Realizing those benefits starts with the selection of the right supplier partners. And the selection of the right partners starts with an effective selection process!

Join David Rourke of Round Table Procurement Services for this one-hour webinar to dive into the process used to select our supplier partners for the Purchasing Program, and for exciting updates on the next phase of the evolution of the ONNPP: Preferred Supplier Selection.

During the session, you’ll learn:
  • The fundamentals and principles of an effective supplier selection process
  • How to apply these principles in a variety of situations in your organization
  • How the ONNPP selection process works and why it is effective in developing Preferred Supplier Partners for the Purchasing Program
  • How your organization can participate and have a say in the selection of the Program’s partners
Partnerships are critical for our sector and supplier partners are no different.  How we select them to ensure that they are the best fit with our needs is an important topic‒ we hope you can join us!
