Charities and political activity: CRA consultation
Resetting the definition of charities' work in public policy

Charities and nonprofits play a critical role in Canadian society to address issues that face communities across the country. This role requires the charitable sector to engage in “political activities” to help shape the policy and laws that have an impact on their work with the people and the communities they serve.

The Canada Revenue Agency is reviewing rules about political activity by charities. It’s conducting a public consultation until December 14. To help the charitable sector learn more and add its voice, ONN is joining Environmental Defence and Imagine Canada in a webinar.

The seminar will include a question and answer session, and provide context to help your organization make a submission to the CRA's online consultations.
