Highlights from ONN Conference 2015: Building Foundations

There’s no doubt we are a powerful and driven sector with over 55,000 orgs, 1 million employees, 5 million volunteers, and $50 billion in economic impact -- and together we can do great things. Our conference is an opportunity to come together, flex our collective strength, and set the course for the future of the nonprofit sector. Thank you for helping us make our 2015 Conference the biggest and best yet! Over two days, we hosted 500+ sector champions, 25% of which we’re thrilled to say came from outside of the GTA-- some from across the country, some from south of the border, and others from across the ocean! We’re pleased to share a few highlights from our pre-Conference day, Building Foundations.

1. Highlights from the Day

Want to relive the magic? Were you too engaged in the day to take notes? We’ve got you covered. Here are a few highlights and resources from our Building Foundations pre-Conference day:

b. Our Stories on Social Media

We were buzzing on social media this year with over 350,000+ impressions over two days. Please click here to access our Storify, a fun recap of our Building Foundations day on Twitter.

2. Tell Us How We Did!

We want to hear from you. If you haven’t had a chance, please fill out our Conference evaluation form and tell us what you loved about the day, or what you’d like to see us change to make next year even better. Want to connect with other Foundations day delegates? Fill out the evaluation form and let us know if you’d like to add your name & email to our delegate list. Please note: we will only share contact information with other Day 1 delegates.

3. Special Thanks

We’d like to thank Liz Rykert and Meta Strategies for helping to create and facilitate dynamic and engaging sessions for the day. Meta Strategies specializes in leading high energy, high engagement events and meetings. Their methods create space for everyone to contribute, and help participants think outside the box.

We’d also like to thank Rick Cohen, National Correspondent for Nonprofit Quarterly (NPQ) for participating throughout the day. Rick brought valuable insights from the nonprofit sector south of the border to this year’s ONN Conference. If you didn’t have a chance to connect with Rick at the conference, we highly recommend you follow him on Twitter and check out NPQ’s The Cohen Report.

4. Our Stars

We’d like to thank our Conference sponsors and volunteers, our ONN Connectors, and our incomparable conference organizer, Frances Pairaudeau, for your incredible help in making this year’s event a success.

We’re grateful to our 2015 Conference sponsors for generously supporting this province-wide event:
